Loving and Learning in Lodi September 29 2019
Money. Money. Money.
Always sunny in the rich man’s world!
All the things I could do if I had a little money!
It’s a rich man’s world.
See You Sunday!

to the tune of #430:
O, Master Let Me Walk with Thee
Freely, Freely
verses 1 & 2 #389
“Stop collecting
treasures for your own benefit on earth, where moth and rust eat them and where
thieves break in and steal them. Instead, collect treasures for yourselves in
heaven, where moth and rust don’t eat them and where thieves don’t break in and
steal them. Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
“The eye is the lamp
of the body. Therefore, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of
light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If
then the light in you is darkness, how terrible that darkness will be! No one
can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you
will be loyal to the one and have contempt for the other. You cannot serve God
and wealth.
Leader: The word of God for the people of God. People: Thanks be to God.

the church are invited to attend.
Fall is in the air and
the apples are ripe, ripe and ready for apple butter! Stop by John and Dottie Kimble’s this Saturday
and take a turn stirring the apples in the copper kettle. The apples will cook most of the day before
canning the yummy apple butter. Bring a
dish to share and enjoy the fellowship!
Informational meetings with
our Trustees: The Trustees will be explaining the process and
the plan they have for the exterior projects/repairs that our building needs
done: tuckpointing, replacing window lintels, replacing the kitchen windows,
and installing a ramp. They have been working with contractors to obtain bids
for the work and are ready to begin. We will offer the meeting three times: Sunday,
September 29th following worship, Tuesday, October 1st at
7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, October 2nd at 10:00 a.m. You only need
to attend one meeting. The information will be the same at each
meeting. We’ll explain the projects, the plan for funding the projects and
the timeline for the projects. There will be a question and answer time as
well. In 2021, our beautiful building will turn 100. We want to have the
exterior in good shape as we celebrate the 100 years of worship and ministry we
have had under its roof!
Church Conference, Sunday,
October 6th
following worship. We will be voting on and agreeing to how we
will fund the exterior projects.
