Loving and Learning in Lodi July 28

As I’ve said before, I love movies! Sometimes they take me to new places. Sometimes they teach me about historical events and people. Sometimes they make me laugh. Sometimes they make me cry. They stir my imagination and inspire me. As I enter the world of a movie, I leave my daily world and join them in an adventure. I can pretend I am as brave and courageous as the people on the screen.
In childhood, after watching a movie, I’d pretend to be some of the characters I had seen…taking on their best qualities. This week, we’ll look at the lessons we learned in childhood as we played “Let’s Pretend.”

                                                                          See you Sunday!

From now on, brothers and sisters, if anything is excellent and if anything is admirable, focus your thoughts on these things: all that is true, all that is holy, all that is just, all that is pure, all that is lovely, and all that is worthy of praise. Practice these things: whatever you learned, received, heard, or saw in us. The God of peace will be with you.

School My Sheep ~ Saturday, August 3rd, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
With more than a week to go, we are pleased to inform everyone that we have all of the school  supplies! The only thing we need is children's clothing, and we hope to pick quite a bit of that up from Lodi hospital on Monday. Thank you for all of your support and continued prayers as we move toward the distribution of all of these wonderful donations.
We will move chairs out of fellowship hall this Sunday (following church and fellowship time, of course!)
Looking forward to seeing you the week of July 27th as we put our school “store” into action. The sign-ups are on the bulletin board at the back of the sanctuary. Now we rest, collect children’s clothes and offer thanks.
